The right concentration depends on delivery format, target daily Monacolin K intake and regional regulatory limits. A rough guide:
Use 0.2–0.5% grades as a culinary ingredient — porridge mixes, vinegar blends, traditional condiments where trace bioactivity is welcome but claims are conservative.
1.0–2.0% grades are the standard for once-daily 600 mg capsules delivering 6–12 mg Monacolin K — the dose range used in most published trials.
3.0–4.0% concentrates pair well with coenzyme Q10, berberine or policosanol in lipid-support complexes, keeping softgel fill mass under 500 mg.
5.0% crystalline grade is reserved for in-house analytical calibration, third-party lab reference materials and pharmaceutical R&D programs.
